ENVIRONMENTAL AWARDS 2023
The Foundation, through various environmental actions, has obtained the "Silver Protector of the Environment" award at the Pan-Cypriot Environmental Awards for Organizations and Enterprises. The Silver Protector of the Environment Award is awarded to the Organization/Business whose main concern is the protection and conscious management of the environment. On Tuesday, January 24, 2023, the official award ceremony and presentation of the Environmental Awards took place at the Presidential Palace by His Excellency the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Nicos Anastasiades. The Director of the Foundation, together with staff members and trainees of the Foundation, received the award and gave a promise that the Foundation will continue to be a protector of the environment for years to come, undertaking actions that contribute to the cultivation and maintenance of environmental awareness by all trainees and employees of the Foundation.

RECYCLING
In order to maintain a zero-waste lifestyle, we aimed to reduce the amount of our daily waste by recycling, reusing and composting. Our primary purpose is a commitment to send as little waste to landfill as possible.
COMPOSTING
A group of trainees from our Foundation have been trained in the composting method and apply it daily. Perhaps the following video will give you the motivation for something similar! This particular video has been created in the context of various actions developed by the Foundation and aimed at environmental awareness and the formation of ecological consciousness.
ECO SCHOOLS 2021-2022
The Foundation, in the context of its activities, develops various actions aimed at the social and environmental awareness of the trainees and the staff of the Foundation. The adoption of environmental awareness of the human resources, which is active in the premises of the Foundation, will help it to develop similar actions, both in personal life and in close family environment. Such actions will be supportive of the environment, since our planet, with climate change, is in danger and its salvation is everyone's responsibility. Our primary goal is the formation by all of us of permanent ecological behavior with practical and daily application of knowledge, skills, values and attitude towards the environment.
ECO SCHOOLS 2020-2021
"Eco Schools" is an international program designed to announce and encourage the action of an entire school unit on the environment. They offer an easy way to apply topics from the Curriculum on a daily basis. This process will help our trainees recognize the value of environmental issues and adopt appropriate attitudes in life and at home. The "Eco Schools" offer to the Foundation: · The opportunity to use topics from the Curriculum to influence life of the Foundation in terms of environmental issues. · The opportunity to cultivate in individuals the decision-making skills. · Ideas for tasks and activities. · Opportunities for cooperation with the local community. · An award with prestige. · Opportunities for local and national publicity. · Links with other schools / organizations in Europe. This year, the Foundation participates in this program for the first time. We have selected 3 (out of 17) sustainable development goals that we will develop:
